James Corden, Homemade Big Macs and Anonymous Post #littleloves

Hi there! It's been a really good week for us in general. I'm really enjoying writing this weekly round up, it's quite fun to look back on what has happened in a light way.

Read

I've thrown myself into a new book and being 10 chapters in I'm starting to quite enjoy it. It's about a Journalist who loses her job and then starts looking around at other areas of her life, finding they're not exactly how she thought they were. Her best friend sets her up with a job in remote Wales and she's off to find out secrets on her ex-boss and secure a maternity cover job for the meantime - all that and I'm not even 1/4 the way in yet!

Watched

I'm a big fan of James and Anna, they're two of my favourite people in the celeb world so of course this video amounted to everything. I can't seem to get enough of that show at the moment.

I also watched the film Date Movie this week after a long day and not wanting to watch anything too heavy - it was fairly funny! It's a spoof of Romantic Comedies and being a girl, they're among my favourites to watch so that was highly entertaining.

Heard

So, y'know when I mentioned about being really into watching videos of the late late show? Well I listened to this the other day and it made me smile. He's actually a pretty decent singer.

Made

This week I've had a mix of good and bad days, but I've given it my all most of the time. One of the recipes we had this week was 'Slimming World Big Mac' however Chris moaned it was literally a salad (it's too green apparently!) so we decided to change the recipe a bit and make the mince into actual burgers. I synned the roll and used it as my Healthy Extra B option, plus using my Healthy Extra A for 2 cheese slices as I ate two of these (one without a roll). We 'fried' some onions too which isn't part of the recipe, but got to love onions with burgers, with a dollop of homemade Big Mac sauce - we were so stuffed.

Wore

This top is my go to at the moment, I really love it, it's so floaty and covers up my belly. It's also long so I feel 'covered' when wearing it - there's nothing wrong with it at all, apart from the fact it has to get washed! It's been so freezing here the last few days (-2 when I took Freddie to school the other morning!) that my neck feels bare if I don't have a scarf.. I do love the clash of the two patterns here.

and lastly..
I received some Anonymous post this week which was really strange. It was a book called 'strictly between us' (which my sister pointed out was pretty creepy considering the fact there was no note, nor did I have any idea who's handwriting was on the address label).
It was a little odd as I kept thinking anyone who knows me will have written to say 'hi' but it must be someone I know as they have my address - anyway, it was a surprise and I'm taking it as a good one as the book sounds like something I would pick myself. I was pretty grateful as I rarely get post just for me (that isn't a bill!) so I'd like to say - if it's you, thank you! (and come and let me know it's you so I can send many more thanks!)

    1. Me too! I kept feeling like I should know who it was from, but I couldn't and no one has owned up to it yet!

  2. Ha ha how odd to get a book through the post anonymously, even a publisher would send it with a compliments slip if they'd found you somehow through your blog. At least it's one you might like though! Those burgers look awesome, I've always meant to make the SW Big Mac but I have a feeling my partner would say the same thing! Have a good weekend x
