Course Materials and Getting Organised?

You may know that I signed up for a Access Course with The Open University after a little pondering and I decided to just jump for it because nothing was going to change whilst I was sitting in my comfort zone!
I signed myself up to the Arts and Languages in the hope of developing my skills as a writer/blogger and the course material online looked really interesting and something that I'd enjoy, I really liked the look of the BA (Hons) English Literature and Creative Writing course that they offer but I wanted to make sure that firstly my written skills are up to that standard and that it would be the right direction for me. I love creative writing and I've done a lot of it over my younger years but I want to feel confident before handing myself over for several years - I don't want to feel clueless and completely swallowed up in the whole fantasy and that I couldn't produce the appropriate material. Plus, there's that time thing also as I'm going to fit it around being a full time mum!

Friday an exciting parcel came through the door and I was surprised at the amount of booklets and sheets you receive! I was really looking forward to reading through it all and seeing what my first assignment was going to be about and *whispers* I think I'm going to love it!
The books have that stiffness (oh how I hate to bend the pages in a brand new book!!!) and strong 'new' smell it was wonderful for the geek in me to unwrap these items and have a explore. I've written deadlines in my diary and I've checked out the study planner they hand you - it seems a little daunting but I think once I've learnt my way around I'll settle in nicely!
I also have here a couple of notebooks that I collected up for bottom prices and my favourite fine line pen - I do need to collect some more notebooks and pens - oh and highlighters! I wanted to wait until my materials came through so that I could see what I needed to complete the assessments, (but lets be honest, we're about to go purchase the whole of Paperchase right now..).

I'm joining up with Jocelyn for #SundayStationery - do join in too if you love the sound of this! You can also just share a snap on social media and tag it with the hashtag #SundayStationery if you find it easier :) (It is much simpler but I wanted to talk more than anyone on Social Media would want to read! haha!)
