Changes

So the school year for us started yesterday and we took our slightly apprehensive little lad, head to toe in school uniform, packed him up with a backpack, gym bag and book bag into his little classroom and it was a slap in the face of changes that are going to happen.
I took so many photo's of him yesterday morning (including the one above) because I wanted to be able to bask in the memories forever. The exciting wake up, yet feeling nervous for all our first day at his primary school, the uncertainty of what the experience would bring. It was scary but exciting as it showed that we're moving to the next stage of all our lives!

I found that I wasn't as emotional as I thought I would be, I think this Summer we all come to terms with what's going to happen and after 6 weeks of full on parenting, it was quite nice to have that break yesterday morning and we mere 3 headed out on the bus for a few bits for tea and had a walk along the very blustery seafront and town before coming home just in time to pick up Freddie. It felt weird being out without him, but again it's something we're going to have to get used to. We also looked at holidays and was like 'ooh, we could go there.. but we can't'. It's changed everything like that and I think it'll take a couple of weeks to finally drop into a routine of him being away - the place is so quiet!

Despite that, we've got quite a few little projects coming up over the next few weeks as I start my course come 3rd October so my desk area and bedrooms have to be sorted in time. I don't want to have any massive projects to do over that time so making the most of these weeks to get as much done as possible. Monday we've got new wardrobes for the boys arriving and I'm hoping to start decorating in there then once Freddie is at school, I'm getting some help in the form of my Grandad and Mum so it'll make it a lot easier - maybe all done before Freddie gets home?! ;)
But I'm firstly looking forward to tonight where I'm having a girls night in with Els, she's coming over once the boys have popped off to bed for Chinese and the revealing of A in Pretty Little Liars - safe to say I'm pretty excited about it and I can't wait to finally find out who it is..

    1. It really is, I thought it'd be much more traumatic than it actually was! However I think it came to a point where we were all ready to transition on :)
Yeah I think being busy these next few weeks will make it all that easier! Thank you :) xx
