Time

This week has been Half-Term. It's been a time for testing balance and to be honest it's been lovely. It's been really chilled and the boys haven't really been misbehaving. We've had minimal tantrums (although all of them were yesterday when Daddy was home - mean Daddy!) and we've just relaxed. It's probably quite sad to say we've not really left the house, we've just stayed in and read countless books, watched Netflix and so, so many snuggles! I love that Freddie's getting back into wanting Mummy cuddles! *happy mummy*

Okay, the furthest we've ventured out was to the Garden and it was comfortable. Freddie and I sat out there for a while when Noah was having a nap; just chatting and watching our joint Vlog (he absolutely loves it, always goes "I love that Mummy" pointing to me on the screen.. does he not realise it's me?!) and to be honest I love watching it too. I love his little voice and little mannerisms. He is unbelievably cute and I just end up watching him rather than really listening - in some ways I wish I hadn't edited it in the slightest because there were so many parts where he started waffling on about random things. That's one of the things I love about him, you never know where you'll end up.
We've had that conversation of where babies come out.. I told him the truth - why make up a story I always think and he found it funny that Noah and him came out differently. I'm also apparently having another baby because my tummy is still really big. (yeah, conversations don't always end in flattering ways! But again, it's the truth!)

This week has been enjoyable, last weekend I was out with Els for a few drinks and it was wonderful, we did some videos and had so many giggles. We're out again this weekend to see Shayne Ward in Reading whilst Chris has some very important 'boy time' with the littles. He's been working really rubbish hours this week to be able to take the weekend off - which is crap to be honest, but he had yesterday off so we were able to enjoy some time all together, but I fear I won't see much of him till next week. It makes me guilty feel for going away, but I know he's looking forward to having the boys and I think it'll do them all some good - I know they'll be glad to see me come Sunday! It also means I get some time completely out of 'Mum routine' and I can't actually wait!

Then it'll be back to normal routine and normal blogging - this week it's been so scattered, I mean right now Freddie's watching TV and Noah's napping. It's about trying to balance isn't it? Finding time to share it all out equally and I think I've done it this week. I know both boys feel so loved, I know they've enjoyed having me to themselves and I just know they're happy with this week of rest. We've had time to enjoy the little moments again.
It's been a calm week (I say Monday to Friday) and it's been ideal. We're constantly bustling around and it's just stopped. No early wake ups for Nursery - it's a win right?!

Now I just need to find time to pack!

  2. This is how it is in the house as well! So calm but chaotic as the house is messy with my son's toys and craft things! #wotw

  3. I think it's really nice to keep things quiet and simple over half term. It's only a week and my boys are always tired after weeks of school. We did go away this time, but usually it's really relaxed! Have a great weekend :-) #WotW

  4. My blog and my schedule always goes out of the window when it comes to half term, because you never quite know what mood the children are going to be in and sometime (actually often) we enjoy these kind of days where we do nothing but play with the toys, maybe venture in the garden and the house is filled with lots of laughter, music and 'Mummy' shouts & cuddles,
That's what half term is for! Enjoy it xx

    1. I was fairly lucky that I had times where I could fit a blog post in and did a couple of Vlogs with Freddie - wasn't expecting to fit half that in! Them days are genuinely the best, the ordinary moments of life :)
Thank you, we had a lovely time, hope you did too xx
