Planning

This week has been a mixture. A mixture of feelings and activities. I've been tired, excited, happy and nervous. But in all we've had a very organised week and I'm really happy with it. I'm happy how flowing the days have gone; things have slotted and played out better than before. Organising my days has been the best thing to happen to our little family.

I vowed never to blog on the weekends (I've got a couple of Vlogs no doubt as I'm out and about) and last week, although was quite odd being away from the laptop - made me a better person. It made me feel more contented with my time; I was also a better mum because I didn't have any posts lingering in my head and I'm so satisfied with the planning ahead factor.
As a mum I'm partially wondering why I haven't done more planning prior. It really is the best feeling!

I guess sometimes it's because life doesn't go to a plan and I'm one to be very disheartened if the day feels wasted, so I leave everyday open to everyday things. I always imagined with two young kids that it'd be hard to plan but this week has shown a new side to it.
I write blog posts down on the days I want to complete them, get back from the Nursery run and do them - once done I feel like I've been productive with my time as far as blogging goes. Whether it's one post or a couple and emails, once it's done, it's done until the next day and that's really working for me - making it achievable, also I don't have to keep that mental list of what needs writing up because it's down on paper! (seriously, why haven't I done this before?)
I also think because of this it's helping me establish my blog a lot better, I have the time to put energy into writing my best posts instead of last minute scribble downs (we've all been through it!) and it's starting to show I think.

I've also been putting in allotted time to exercise. 9pm every week day I do at least 20 minutes of exercise, shower then bed (to read for a bit, Netflix or sleep) and this has also become a welcomed part of my week. I feel it's achievable and also it just gives me that helping hand with my weight loss, and even gives me the endorphins which is the way to go!

This week has been lovely due to the planning, but also it's a little nice to set it aside in an organised manner. Freddie & I went to a play meeting up at his 'big school' we played many activities and he was over excited to show me around with his best friend, William. I'll discuss more on what I felt about the school in a separate post, but he loves it and I'm glad I got to share that with him. That school is as new to me as it is to him and he was a great leader. It also showed me exactly what he is like with the other people and teachers. To say I'm pretty proud would be an understatement.
When you're placed in circumstances like that, it just brings to light how articulate your little person can be. You can see what they can achieve and you always wish your best for them, yet they always seem to overtake you expectation and as a mum, it just feels so fab. It's them times you know you're actually doing a damn decent job. I felt so many emotions watching him this week, I think it's dawning on me how close we are to finishing this part of our lives together.

After today it's Half term. I've planned a few posts and a Vlog with my big boy, however I'm set to not worry too much if I don't meet the days I want them completed as life alters and I want to be able to enjoy this week with my lads because as yesterday showed - my big boy is getting pretty darn big.
I've also a couple of plans with a friend on both weekends (definitely shall keep me away from the laptop) so I can feel this week is going to be a mixture of feelings and activities once again.
I'm guessing we're just finding our happy balance at last.

  2. I do like to plan, it really can make things run so much more smoothly, which in turn, relaxes my mood, too. I need to plan in some regular exercise time like that, one day! Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  3. A bit a planning is a very good thing - I'm starting to try and write more things down too, rather than having lots of blog ideas floating round my head (which I promptly forget). Your nightly exercise routine is amazing - I wish I could be more disciplined! I'm really set in my ways and can't shift myself off the sofa in the evenings. x #WotW

    1. It really is isn't it? It really helps writing down anything that I may potentially want to write and then it's out of my head, making extra space for everything else!
Haha I think it's because I introduced it with the planning so I felt like it's all a new clubbed together thing. I dunno, I hope to keep it up! X

  4. Finding balance is really hard when you blog. Sometimes blogging takes up all of my time. So you are lucky to be able to allot time for things that matters the most. I am learning how to stay a bit away from the laptop and have started walking. And I am enjoying it immensely. #wotw

    1. It really is hard to be able to find time, but now I've found it I'm so much more confidence in my writing which I'm so excited about! Haha trying to take a step back is the hardest part isn't it? Hopefully as time goes it's something we can find a natural balance for. Aw that's great! :) x
