A Week of Noah

The Reynolds family has recently changed from being a 3 to a 4 and it's been such a transformation for us all! This week has been a real whirlwind getting to know our new little bundle and accommodating him around our routine.
Freddie has really taken to having Noah with us (he was really quiet and shy for the first few days) and now always talks, checks and strokes him, which is unbelievably cute! I have a feeling they'll grow really close in the years to come as Freddie is already playing the big protective brother!

Noah's very different to how Freddie was as a baby. He's much calmer and he feeds so well! (Freddie we had to force feed him most of the time - he's not much different now!) Noah's currently drinking 90mls every 2/3 hours and gobbles it down like there's no tomorrow! (which always results in hiccups for a good 20 minutes! (I think this may be his signature mark!))
Noah's so adorable and so tiny! We've had to buy 'micro' pampers nappies (size 0) as the ones recommended for newborn (size 1) are too big! The midwife agreed and said that he has sparrow legs.. so it explains that the nappies are too loose around his thighs, which lead to a lot of leakages!
We've also come up with a little nickname for Noah - Little NoNo. My mum came up with it first and I've taken it on in spectacular fashion and it suits him so well!
I absolutely love him to pieces and I can't get over how much he looks like Freddie and Chris (I mean this seems like such an obvious statement, but it's true!). He doesn't really have the same personality as either of them currently, but we shall see how this follows in the months to come..
We've been very lucky to have such a easy baby to deal with as he wakes 3 times in the night (sometimes less) but settles straight down! He likes his sleep :) (just like his mumma!) he also sleeps on his right side, which is also my favourite side, I guess he got used to laying this way when he was in bump!

Chris has been absolutely amazing since Noah has been born, he's been helping me in every way possible. He's been really supportive and helpful from the moment I was allowed out of bed the next morning from the c-section. I was really struggling to even stand up let alone walk and he was there by my side holding me up, gathering my things, helping me shower and dress and was looking after little man (day and night). It was really nice to know he had my back when I needed him the most :) I think having a baby/kids really tests the basis of your relationship, especially when you're up half the night, have chores and other things that need to be done.. you don't get the time to just be able to sit together uninterrupted. I have to say I feel that mine and Chris's has got stronger and it's proven that I can lean on him when I need to.
I feel really positive about how my recovery has been this week. I've managed to be able to get out of bed and about alone (slowly) by day 2/3, and slowly have been able to get myself dressed alone and get up the stairs unaided - all major milestones once you've had a section! We've been staying at my mums house since I left the Hospital as her house is easier for me to navigate around with my limited mobility! She has a downstairs toilet and shower which is easy to walk in and at home we've got the bathroom and toilet upstairs, where we have a shower over the bath. (Going upstairs to the toilet every time I need to go, didn't seem very appealing!) So taking that into account it's been much easier.

Below I have the pictures I've been taking of Noah, in his first week in the family :) I've been making sure I take as many as I can, simply for memories sake. I don't think you can ever take too many pictures!! My Instagram is currently filled with images of my perfect little man, so don't be shy to check that out!

Day 7

So I have to say that even though I didn't have a very good birth experience this time around, that he's been worth all the bother! It feels like he's been here much longer than a week (just over) and none of us could imagine life without him :)

I hope you've enjoyed taking a look at the pictures!
I'm sorry I've been lacking in the posting department recently, it's just my two boys are keeping me very, very busy! So am trying to blog between their naptimes currently - so bare with me until it all dies down a little ;)
(I still have so much to post!!) X
